New Staff Introductions

Hello Families!

It is already March and Spring will be here before we know it!. As our Playful Learners family continues to grow, we are excited to welcome several new staff members to our group! We are looking forward to having them join the family and settle in to their new positions! Please join us in welcoming them as you see them in the center!

Kristen Whitener – Infant Assistant

I grew up in Greene Country Virginia and graduated from William Monroe High School. I am the middle child out of 3 and the only girl! I have 3 dogs and enjoy spending my time adventuring around in my Jeep. I’ve always had a passion for working with kids and can not wait to start this new chapter at Playful Learners Preschool!

Kristine Evans – Floater

I have over 10 years of experience taking care and teaching children of all ages. I really enjoy watching children grow and there beautiful personalities. I want to go far as I can go in this program. I love what this school is about and I know my time here will definitely be unforgettable and memorable. I have a 3 year old daughter who attends preschool here. I love taking pictures of any and everything! I’m a huge family oriented person and love to see them genuinely happy. I love helping others and being there for them! I started to go to school for psychology then changed it to sonography because of my passion with taking pictures in general. I want to go to school to get my early childhood degree very soon! I’m always somewhere smiling and laughing, or making others see my goofiness.

As Spring brings with it change, we are sad to say “goodbye” to Miss Emily as she continues on her career path. We are very thankful for all that Emily has done for our center and appreciate everything she has done.

Dear Families,

I wanted to start off by thanking all the families that I have worked with; getting to know each of your families has been an enriching experience and I have fallen in love with all of your little ones. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to you all. My last day at Playful Learning Preschool will be Friday, March 13th 2020. I have decided to accept a new position that is closer to home, works better for my schedule, and is in line with my career goals.

I will miss you all and your little ones and would like to keep in touch with your families if you wish. You each have helped me grow and learn in a variety of ways and I am grateful for the experience. Thank you for allowing me to get to know and care for your children and your families.
